The State Institute of Art in Catania was expelled from its historic headquarters, which was closed permanently September 12, 2009. After months of

negotiations the School has not been assigned or communicated the new headquarters. Students are denied the right to education and workers are

denied the RIGHT TO WORK.

This committee, which represents about 700 students, about 1,400 parents, about 150 employees of the School, the complaint states:

a) entities involved have not paid, and still not pay, no hearing and no attention to requests made by the Civic Committee

b) the number of messages sent by this Committee at the civic organizations involved have been answered and, in some cases, were discarded

without being read

c) the trade unions have not given any support for the struggle of students, parents and workers at the emergency eviction, nor come forward now

in the process of allocation of the new headquarters

d) representatives of education offices, provincial and regional and other authorities to the Government of the School have been and still are, absent

e) the State Institute of Art in Catania was and is a victim and hostage negotiations and decisions that have taken place, and they are making, in the

confinement of the buildings that house those "who count" 

Remind the administrators, the unions, to the authorities who govern the school that the school year began on 1 September. Lessons, for students of

the State Art in Catania, began on 3 September in the street. Since 12 September have been postponed until a later date. Students are denied the right

to education and workers are denied the RIGHT TO WORK. 

As the allocation of new place, this committee report the following facts, patently outrageous

1. the leadership of the Institute is not called to take part in sessions in which it must decide the allocation of new place

2. assumptions relating to the new site is not discussed by institutions involved with management of the Institute, but are envisaged in the interview to j

ournalists of the press and local broadcasters

3. today, 15 September, the Institute's leadership has not yet received any communication about the new site 

All this, like the rest falls in the "transparency" in the mouths of those who swell the transparency evoke love, but prefer not to practice!
